White Chocolate Mud Cake Recipe

Butter 250 gm Chopped
White Chocolate 150 gm
Castor Sugar 2 cup(s)
Milk 1 cup(s)
Plain Flour (Sifted) 1 1/2 cup(s)
Self Raising Flour (Sifted) 1/2 cup(s)
MASTERFOODS Vanilla Pod 2 . Halved
Egg(s) 2 . Lightly beaten
White Chocolate 300 gm
Cream 125 ml


Recipe Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to moderately slow.








  2. Grease
    To rub or brush lightly with oil or fat.

    a 20cm round cake pan and

    To cover the inside of a container with paper to aid in removing mixture.

    the base and sides with baking paper.
  3. Combine butter, chocolate, sugar and milk in a medium saucepan. Stir over a low heat until smooth, without boiling. Transfer mixture to a large bowl to cool for 15 minutes.
  4. Whisk in flours, than scrape vanilla into mixture and eggs. Pour into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake cake in moderately slow oven for 1 hour. Cover pan loosely with foil and bake for another hour. Discard foil and stand cake in pan for 5 minutes before turning onto a wire rack, turning top side up, to cool.
  6. To make Ganache: Pour cream into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Add chocolate, stirring until chocolate melts.
  7. Cover bowl and refrigerate for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Spread over mud cake.
  9. Decorate with small chocolate Easter Eggs.
